Today's Weather In The Arctic: Arctic Cyclones
Video shows the surface wind field (EarthWindMap) with a trio of cyclones: One off-shore of southeast Kamchatka Peninsula and another south of the Alaska Peninsula - Aleutian Islands, North America - Pacific plate boundary (subduction zone type). A third cyclone is seen in the Chukchi Sea north of eastern Russia. Surface wind velocity up to 90 km/h (~54 mph) for the cyclone near Kamchatka. Stormy weather if you happen to be under the cyclones.
